About Your Co-Pilot, Jessica Isaacs
I set out to become a Registered Dietitian after a decade long battle with an eating disorder. Through my road to recovery I discovered the healing power of nutrition. Though the work of dietetics is a far cry from my background as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force and working tech support for a software company, I was determined to help others build the confidence and skills to make better food choices.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Purdue University and completed over 1,200 practice hours during my dietetic internship. I have been working in the health and wellness field since 2013, as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and online nutrition & fitness coach. Additionally, I spent 2 years interning under the Director of Sports Nutrition at Purdue University, helping to educate and fuel athletes across all sports.
Beyond my experience with team-based sports nutrition, I have a background coaching athletes preparing for bodybuilding competitions. Though I've hung up my heels, I spent a few years on the stage competing myself. These days I stay active playing women’s rugby with the Norfolk Storm.
